Born 1992 in an Essex suburb Lucy Jane Hilton is a London and Bournemouth based emerging artist, poet with a shamanic outlook. Specializing in traditional two dimensional image making her work questions the significance of the handmade, the importance (or lack) of traditional aesthetic judgments in context of a flat and glossy, uncanny and uncertain future. Inspired by the seductive nature of amateur theories, she creates new semi-fictional, desperately hopeful and completely paranoid narratives, by linking together dubious alternative theories and inborn visions.
Lucy Jane studied Fine Art at The Arts University Bournemouth and The Dutch Royal Academy of Art, exhibiting and performing in The Hague and Bournemouth.
